Goal:
Ghoulish magic is usually self-centered (healing oneself and regenerating, not healing others), however, when channeled properly, it can be of good use and that's where ghouls become defensive mechanism rather than offensive one. Piper wants to learn how to channel her magic properly.
:bulletblue:
However as she seems rather... limited in the magic field, she is taking up Potions as something that can be as effective.

Personality:
Piper is the only child – practically it is expected that she is spoiled rotten. She doesn't exactly defy this unwritten rule, however she was taught some limits by her parents. Meaning, while she will pout and be stubborn for a while, she will even openly whine when she doesn't get something of her liking, however she won't just midnlessly demand she gets whatever that was. Instead, she'll do what she is taught to – try to earn it. Piper is of those people who have a lot of energy and have absolutely nothing to waste it on, so she gets to new jobs and offered deals quickly. Especially if those include some snooping around – she is abnormally curious. But then again, most of people are.

Piper is rather friendly person, but one of the downsides of her personality is that she gets to trust people easily and bear the consequences later, without learning anything in the process. She is too stubborn and holds to herself and her own opinion too much. Piper tends to contradict people on prupose (e.g. they say she'll do this-and-that and she does the opposite in spite of them).

She would never hurt somebody intentionally, especially for no reason. Piper is overly brave, even to the point of it bordering with stupidity.

She can, at times, be rather childish. Her main flaw is that she is extremely impatient, no matter what she's dealing with. If she doesn't get the wanted result soon enough, she doesn't give up, on no - she starts all over.

Piper is very talkative - which goes hand-to-hand with friendliness, and I mean very. She talks a lot, provides a lot, recalls on things she's been told, she's seen, read or just happens to know... And she's also easily amused, especially by small things.

History:
Margaret Piper Mortimer was born to Morgan Mortimer and his wife, Jyotsana. Apparently Piper was the only child of a ghoulish couple, after many unsuccessful attempts – let's remember ghouls are living dead, after all. Her mother was born and raised a ghoul, just like Piper was and her father, Morgan, is a human turned ghoul. While ghouls did tend to give their children peculiar names – such as her mother’s ‘Jyotsana’ – Piper was named a human name because her mother wanted her child's name to be similar to her husband's – Morgan. Her knowledge on human names was rather limited though, so she named her Margaret Piper (as in: common name + noun). To make it even more strange for a place they lived in, Piper was called Daisy by both of her parents. Ghouls most certainly didn’t name their children after flowers.

The girl was raised as if any other kid would be – with care and yet strict hand around. However she has grown to be rather small anyway, even for a girl. She attended school with other ghoulish kids like she was. In school, they were thought basic things – how to know when you’re wounded (as ghoul’s are not very aware of pain, hot and cold, or at least not as much as humans and some other creatures are), theory about shifting into hyena and how to control your form in order not to turn into last person you ate. However the girl didn't complain much, if you don't count Maths and Physics, in which she was moderately good at and yet disliked them because they were human subjects ghouls learnt in order to fit in with human society. She has also grown more and more interested in medicine, which was not surprising – her mother was a doctor and her father had studied medicine briefly before taking family business and becoming an undertaker.

The girl has attempted learning from books from their home library and asking about. She has even tried to attempt some unsuccessful magical experiments and surgeries, sometimes on birds – which she doesn't like because they so obviously fly - and sometimes even on herself. It was likely the only time she disobeyed her mother when she told her to stop. As she kept going, her experiments grew more severe and less successful – in the end girl of age 13, who believed she would be able to do anything and everything without practice, made a Colombian necktie to herself (among other injuries) – a slash across the throat. It took it years to get to its current stage, and it's nowhere near being completely healed. To the day she still remains with stitches on her neck, left wrist, right middle finger, whole length of her left leg and left side of the belly.

After the talk with her parents following the incident, Piper was promised to get proper medical and, along with it, magical education when the time comes for that. She held on to that promise dearly, however while her father had been more or less supportive, all her mother seemed interested in were flowers and gardening. It was supposed to be less dangerous form of dissection, apparently.

Piper decided to go to Academy with her father's approval because she thought it was about time she started studying for what she wants to do, before she gets too old and is forced into gardening and housekeeping. After all, ghoulish magic is rather peculiar and her father, who studied medicine only briefly, could not help her in that department.

In her first year in Otherworlde, she has come to terms that there is something other than magic that can do almost same things - technology, but she hasn't exactly come to terms with it yet. Needs lots of explaining. She has also gotten various diseases, from skin to digestive system, learnt how to get rid of them, learnt how to cause them to other people. She has met only few people, but found them all peculiar in one sense or another (ghouls have warped sense of 'normality'). She's been thrown into Wonderland with Louise

Misc. Information:
- Even though she is rather friendly, she tends to dislike children. Probably because ghouls eat kids, after all.
- She has a set of very sharp teeth.
- Her eyes are overly sensitive to the very bright light.
- She was born color blind. Her color combinations are often hideous because of this.
- She collects old coins.
- Piper often touches her neck when she is nervous or feeling uncomfortable.
- She has several bracelets on each hand, though they are covered by sleeves. She has ring on her right middle finger - also covering a scar.
- She dresses in layers and in baggy clothes in order to cover up her stitches.
- She's left handed.
- She practically doesn’t eat veggies and fruit.
- Ghouls – including Piper – don’t breathe. She sleeps for the sake of ‘normality’ even though she doesn’t need sleep. Ghouls are dead, therefore they don’t need sleeping, breathing, water. These undead satisfy all of their need with human flesh (or alternatively raw flesh in general) and blood instead of liquid. Therefore, Piper’s blood is brownish black because it has no oxygen in it.
- No circulation = no blushing, but she does get flustered in other ways. Also, she has no reaction to warm or chilly things and she has dulled reactions to pain, frostbites, burns etc. because her nerve endings are partially/mostly dead.
- So, how does she die? She doesn't. //mingplz As mentioned above, ghouls are living dead. The only way to 'kill' a ghoul is to somehow stop them from feeding, as their digestive system is the only fully functional system in their body.
- Her father keeps on some of his human outlooks in life – such as belief in God. Her mother thinks it’s hilarious. Piper agrees with her.
- What is this personal space everybody seems to be talking about? Piper has not heard of something as ridiculous as that.
- While common in human world, in ghoulish society name Margaret would probably be thought of as plainly weird. Name Piper would be strange too, but somewhere closer to normal because Piper is... well, piper.
- Pickpocketer. Not a very good one because she's easily guilt-ridden.
- Likes giving people nicknames whether they like it or not.
- Piper knows nothing about modern technology whatsoever. She'll probably have problems with TV, let alone something more complicated.
- She speaks in slightly accented speech.
- Piper has knowledge in close combat, but she doesn't know how to use it. At all.
- It appears as if she doesn't know difference between genders. She does understand 'male' and 'female' context, as in, physically, but she doesn't understand the need for strictly dividing people into categories.

Script Sample: To be all honest, these may vary in length when in actual RP ; v ; Also, my paragraph style-RPing usually contains more than just 1 paragraph ahah Just... this drained me and I don't know what to write OTL

Piper: *swings jean-clothed leg over her bed and blinks while rubbing top of her nose. The words in book she is reading are getting blurry. It looks like they're escaping her vision* What's nucleus again? *she pondered, rubbing eyes again. She looks around the room with a yawn* This better be so damn worth it *comments to self; she was sleepy. Sleepy and bored. She marks the page and 'hides' the book under her pillow, as if trying to hide it. Piper stands up from the bed and stretches*

Paragraph Sample: Piper swung a jean-clothed leg over her bed, blinking her blue eyes and rubbing the top of her nose. The book was keeping her occupied for a while, but words were not getting blurry and escaping her vision. What was nucleus again? She rubbed her eyes one again and looked around the room and yawned. „This better be so damn worth it.“ – she commented to herself, scolding herself for unintentional cuss. Was damn even a cuss? Ghouleh didn't know and, frankly said, she didn't care. Not right now, since she was so busy trying to just keep up with this book. It wasn't boring or even that difficult, either. She was just so sleepy. And perhaps she did, after all, get a little bit, just a little bit bored. Not tired as much as bored. She wanted some company. She needed some, she decided as she marked the page and placed the book under her pillow. She stood up from the bed, stretching.
